A friend made this for us for dinner last night and it was absolute perfection! This is definitely a recipe that I will add to my box and make again and again! Thanks!

Just made a batch of this. Very tasty. Had to add a little extra stock, though. Thank you.

Gute Arbeit hier! Gute Inhalte.

We made this tonight and thought it was greatly improved by a squeeze of lime at the table--seemed to cut the thick and starchy quality a bit.
Thanks for a good soup.

I made this last night for dinner, and it was delicious. The combination of jalapenos, molasses, cinnamon, cayenne and salt and pepper give the soup both a sweetness and spice that is truly tasty. I also like the corn in it as well. I wanted the soup to last a few days, so I increased the proportions a bit since I used 7 lbs. of sweet potatoes...yes, I will be eating this soup all week, and I couldn't be more happy about it!

I tried this tonight after seeing this recipe on tastespotting. It's really good! I made a few changes including using chipotle en adobo (had it on hand) and roasted corn. I also added black beans and mustard greens. I pureed and strained the soup for a more velvety texture. I only used 2 sweet potatoes but needed more liquid (no prob here...). I preferred the soup before adding the molasses and will leave it out next time. Oh- a squeeze of lime at the end added a nice balance of acid. A great recipe and a keeper. Thanks for sharing!
